Bryce Dallas Howard, star of M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie, “Lady in the Water,” is having a baby.

Her spokeswoman, Erica Gray, confirmed to The Associated Press on Wednesday that the 25-year-old actress is expecting her first child with husband Seth Gabel.

Howard, daughter of Oscar-winning director Ron Howard, revealed the news Tuesday at the British premiere of “Lady in the Water,” People magazine reported on its Web site.

“I can’t talk about the pregnancy too much,” she was quoted as saying. “I’m a little superstitious.”

Howard, who also starred in Shyamalan’s 2004 film, “The Village,” and Gabel, 25, were married in June.

She has a role in “Spider-Man 3,” slated for release next year.

Gabel has appeared in the TV series “Nip/Tuck” and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and in the movie “The Da Vinci Code.” He has a role in the upcoming film “Running With Scissors.”
