It’s the wedding all of Hollywood has been waiting for. The only problem is… we’re still waiting.

Reports of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes walking down the aisle have been circulating for weeks, but so far, no rings, no vows, no wedding — nada.

But it’s not just the “when” that’s up in the air, it’s also the “where.”

Katie had reportedly been planning an intimate California wedding to Tom for October, but recently changed the date and location. It appears the new plan is for a more upscale wedding somewhere in Italy.

Katie’s new BFF Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) reportedly flew from Paris to Italy on October 7th to help Holmes with final wedding preps. When asked to confirm the plans for an Italian wedding, Cruise’s rep told Us Weekly he is “not denying” the new date or location.

Several outlets have suggested TomKat will tie the TomKnot at George Clooney’s villa near Lake Como in Italy.

However, a rep for Clooney reportedly told MSNBC’s Jeannette Walls no wedding was scheduled at Clooney’s Italian getaway saying, “I can’t speak for what Tom and Katie are up to, but no weddings have taken place at [Clooney’s] villa and no weddings are scheduled to take place there.”

Tom and Katie announced their love for each other back on April 14, 2005, after they were photographed together, hand in hand, in Rome.

The two were engaged soon after when Tom popped the question to Katie on top of the Eiffel Tower on June 17th.

In October 2005, TomKat announced they were expecting their first TomKitten together. Nearly one year to the day they came out as a couple, Suri Cruise was born on April 18, 2006.

And as far as the wedding, we still may not know when or where, but at least we know who. Hey, it’s a step in the right direction.
