HAMPTON, N.H. - A 53-year-old Maine man faces a felony drug charge after police in New Hampshire say they found a pound of cocaine hidden in his underwear.

According to State Police, Ralph Belmont of Shapleigh, Maine, was arrested Friday afternoon following a routine traffic stop on Interstate 95 in Hampton.

Police say Belmont and the driver of the car appeared overly nervous, so they searched the car with the consent of the driver.

That's when Trooper John Hennessey noticed a large bulge in Belmont's pants. After getting a search warrant, police reported finding the cocaine in a plastic bag in Belmont's underwear.

Belmont is being held on $100,000 bail pending a court hearing Monday. The driver was not charged.
