Christina Aguilera has revealed she went up almost two shoe sizes during her pregnancy.
Aguilera, the pop singer mom to baby Max Libron Bratman, told Glamour magazine her petite tootsies expanded to a 7 after she gained 40 pounds while carrying her son, now 7 months old.
“My stomach was really where I carried my weight,” Aguilera told the August issue of Glamour magazine. “Toward the end of my pregnancy, I felt really big — I gained about 40 pounds, which is a lot for my size. My hips also changed significantly. And my feet grew from a size 5 ½ to a size 7 in flats.”
Luckily for the singing star, now trim again, she doesn’t have to pound the pavement to replace her Louboutins, Manolos and Jimmy Choos.
“Thank God they (went back to normal),” Aguilera said of her feet. “I would have been so depressed if I had to get rid of my shoe collection.”
With no need for replacement shopping, Aguilera has been back at songwriting, working on new tunes for what will be the follow up to 2006’s “Back To Basics.”
Like Gwen Stefani, Aguilera took sonic inspiration from Tokyo. She also said Andy Warhol’s pop art will be referenced in the work.
Another piece of her new album’s mix? Her son, Max, who has forced her “to go in a playful direction” with the release, Aguilera said.
But the upcoming effort will also examine some of the singer’s own demons.
“I’ve spoken openly about the domestic violence I experienced growing up,” she added.

The singer said having Max is one reason she is tackling the issue with such fervor.
“Of course you have compassion for children, but when you have your own, you feel it on a much deeper level. So I’m motivated to speak out even more; to do more charity work; to help children find (safe) homes,” she said.
