Three L.A. Avengers on All-Arena first team

Orlando only other team with more than one player chosen

NEW YORK - Lineman Silas Demary, the Arena Football League's sacks leader, and Los Angeles Avengers teammates Kevin Ingram and Remy Hamilton made the AFL's All-Star team Wednesday.

Demary set a league mark with 13 sacks, breaking Craig Wall's record of 13 was set in 1987. Hamilton was the AFL's most accurate kicker, making 74.4 percent of his field goals, also a league mark. Ingram made it as a receiver/defensive back.

Orlando was the only other team with more than one first-teamer. Defensive specialist Kenny McEntyre and receiver/linebacker Cory Fleming were the Predators on the first squad.

Also chosen to the team were quarterback Mark Grieb of San Jose, who broke Jim Kubiak's record for yards passing with 4,803; linemen Jermaine Smith of Georgia and B.J. Cohen of New Orleans; fullback/linebacker Frank Carter of Las Vegas; offensive specialist Damian Harrell of Colorado; and defensive specialist Billy Parker, a rookie for the New York Dragons.
