JERSEY CITY, N.J. - St. Peter's basketball player George Jefferson was found dead in his dorm room Tuesday.
The cause of death was not immediately known, though Hudson County Prosecutor Edward J. DeFazio said it did not appear to be a homicide. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
Jefferson had been complaining of headaches recently, DeFazio said, though it was not clear if he sought medical attention.
"He's a good kid. It's a shock when you see someone in perfect health one day, and he's dead the next," St. Peter's sports information director Timothy Camp said.

St. Peter's coach Robert Leckie was upset and not available for comment, Camp said.
